I am a Licensed Clinical Counselor. I received my Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the Adler University (formerly the Adler School of Professional Psychology).
I believe we are all a sum of our experiences and our upbringing. We develop our world views and are sometimes unaware that these may be clouded by our circumstances.
I have studied a variety of therapeutic approaches and tend to use a solution-focused, positive approach where I ask my clients to examine their strengths while providing them with the additional tools they may need to accomplish their wellness goals.
I have over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field both in not-for-profit agencies and private practice. My personal and professional experiences and training allow me the privilege to help others with a variety of issues and concerns including depression, anxiety, isolation, relationship issues, chronic pain, chronic fatigue sufferers, emotional eating, emotionally abusive relationships, and life transitions such as divorce, a new job, and relocation.
I am a trained parent educator and public speaker on the topic of stress management. I have experience working with adults, elders, caretakers, special needs parents, and couples. I am also available to work with those who prefer a Christian counselor.
