Michelle Krc, LCSW, is a Licensed Professional Social Worker. Michelle is dedicated to helping you work through difficult times, feel stronger, and get your life back on track.
Michelle provides individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults with traumatic experiences. She helps people cope with difficult emotions as she has expertise in treating individuals with a history of self-injury, eating disorders, depression, and low self-esteem.
She specializes in supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and emotional abuse. She also is knowledgeable in working with those dealing with codependency and unhealthy relationships.
Michelle takes a holistic, solution-focused, and strength-based approach to help you meet your goals. She utilizes emotion-focused, trauma-informed, and cognitive behavioral therapies, but will also modify treatment to meet each individual’s needs.
You can trust that Michelle will provide a supportive, safe environment to help you begin managing difficult emotions, working through traumatic experiences, and feeling strong and independent once again.
Education and Experience
Michelle earned her Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago (Jane Addams College of Social Work) and is a licensed social worker in the state of Illinois.
She earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her IBHE Evidence-Based Certificate in Mental Health Practices with Children and Adolescents.
She has also completed her 40-hour rape crisis training.
