Jordan Styczen, MSW, LSW, in training for LCSW

I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Lewis University, specializing in child and adolescent care. My professional experience spans multiple areas of practice, beginning as an ABA therapist right out of graduate school. I later transitioned to the child welfare field, where I gained extensive knowledge of the DCFS process while working with children and adolescents. I have also provided support at higher levels of care, including Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for adolescents.

I am passionate about helping clients identify what matters most to them and collaborating to set meaningful goals that align with their values. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive space where individuals from diverse backgrounds feel comfortable exploring their challenges. While my primary experience is working with children and adolescents, I also work with adults and tailor my approach to meet each client’s unique needs.

I incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness and grounding techniques, play therapy, and person-centered approaches, among other evidence-based methods. My approach is always client-focused, adapting treatment to support individual goals and promote personal growth.

I strive to foster a non-judgmental, collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients feel empowered to openly discuss the challenges they want to overcome. I welcome individuals seeking support for anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and chronic medical conditions, offering guidance and practical tools to help them navigate life’s difficulties.
